Legal
Terms of service
Last updated 2026-06-01.
These terms govern your use of Runnev. By creating an account or using the API you agree to them. They are meant to be clear; where a term has a specific legal meaning we have tried to say so plainly.
The service
Runnev provides a hosted HTTP API for durable, ordered event streams, as described in our documentation. We may change or add features; we will not remove a documented, generally-available API behaviour without notice and a reasonable migration period.
Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your API keys secret. Notify us promptly at security@runnev.dev if you believe a key has been compromised; you can revoke keys yourself at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Runnev to:
- Break the law or infringe others' rights.
- Store or transmit malware, or content you have no right to transmit.
- Attempt to breach or probe the security of the service or other customers' data.
- Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or billing, including by fragmenting one workload across many accounts to evade plan limits.
- Resell the service as an undifferentiated commodity without a written agreement.
We may suspend an account that is causing harm to the service or other customers, and we will tell you why.
Plans, billing, and changes
Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you select. Usage above your plan's included amounts is billed at the overage rates on the pricing page. Upgrades are prorated and immediate; downgrades take effect at the next period. We will give notice before changing prices for an existing subscription.
Availability
We work to keep the service available and publish incidents on our status page. Except where a written service level agreement says otherwise, the service is provided on an as-available basis.
Data
You retain all rights to the data you publish. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service: to store, transmit, and deliver your batches to your subscribers, for the retention window you configure. Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties, and our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate for a material breach of these terms that is not cured within a reasonable period after notice, or immediately for conduct that harms the service or others. On termination your streams and data are deleted after a short wind-down period.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in your order form or, if none is stated, the jurisdiction in which Runnev is established. [Operator: set the governing-law jurisdiction here before publishing.]
